(DURHAM, November 12, 2009) –Sunapee Middle High School defeated Pittsfield Middle High School on Wednesday's Granite State Challenge by a score of 260 to 130, advancing them to round two. Granite State Challenge airs Wednesdays at 6 p.m. and again Saturdays at 8:30 a.m. on New Hampshire Public Television. The successful Sunapee Lakers included seniors Jennifer Coverdale, Shawn Davis, Lane Dubreuil, Alex Berube and alternates Sam Drummond and Nikkita Gottling. They were coached by Sean Moynihan. Their opponents, the Pittsfield Panthers, included senior Kurt Fisher, juniors Louie Houle, Adam Stearns, Brendon Norton and alternates Chris Morel and Craig Paggi. They were coached by Zak Babcock.
