(DURHAM, October 22, 2009) –Mascoma Valley High School prevailed on Wednesday's Granite State Challenge, defeating Newfound Regional High School by just five points with a score of 200 to 195. The teams tested one another's wits until the very end, marking the tightest score yet this season. Granite State Challenge airs Wednesdays at 6 p.m. and again Saturdays at 8:30 a.m.The victorious Mascoma Valley Panthers included senior Alexander Morey, juniors Emily Lacroix and Abbi Rienzo, sophomore Marcus Lewis and alternates Nina Caputo and Kellee Kosiorek. They were coached by Mary Wenig and Michael Carr. Their opponents, the Newfound Bears, included seniors Adam Swain and Brooks Bergholm, junior David Tetreault and sophomore Keagan Livingston.
