WHAT: Cyber predators, cyber bullying, cyber security, and identity theft will be discussed during an interactive videoconference at 9 sites across New Hampshire. Peter LaMonica, founder of BeNetSafe.Org, will lead the session from New Hampshire Technical Institute in Concord. WHERE: Using the Granite State Distance Learning Network’s interactive video network, the videoconference will be held at the following locations across New Hampshire:• Capital Area Center for Educational Support, 105 Community Dr., Penacook • Crotched Mountain-Carter Hall, 1 Verney Dr., Greenfield• Goffstown High School, 27 Wallace Rd., Goffstown• Lin-Wood Public School, Rm 108, Lincoln • Merrimack Middle School, 31 Madeline Bennett Lane, Merrimack• New Hampshire Community College - Manchester, 1066 Front Street, Manchester• New Hampshire Public Television, 268 Mast Road, Durham• New Hampshire Technical Institute, Library Room 135, 31 College Drive, Concord • Sugar River Professional Development Center, 165 Broad Street, ClaremontBACKGROUND: BeNetSafe.Org, in cooperation with the Granite State Distance Learning Network (GSDLN), will present to these 9 locations simultaneously using two-way video and audio. GSDLN is a public/private partnership of over 30 organizations dedicated to developing and implementing an affordable, high-speed interactive videoconferencing network to enhance education throughout New Hampshire. http://www.www.gsdln.org/.BeNetSafe.Org was founded in 2004 by Peter LaMonica, a computer forensics analyst for the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, to get the message of Internet safety for children to the community. BeNetSafe.Org does no fundraising and does not accept donations. Volunteers give talks to police departments, PTAs, church groups, schools and other groups.
