(DURHAM, December 15, 2008) – Pelham High School defeated Somersworth High School by a score of 170 to 80 on Friday’s Granite State Challenge, advancing them to round two. The series airs Fridays @ 6 p.m. and again Saturdays @ 8:30 a.m. on New Hampshire Public Television.The overpowering Pelham Pythons were comprised of seniors Dustin Cooper and Jaime Newell, junior Alexander Maal, sophomore Michael Chadwick and alternates Christine Morgan and Olivia Echteier. They were coached by Roger Lyder. Their opponents, the Somersworth Hilltoppers, included seniors Melissa Milonopoulos, Michael McKenney, and Zach Whipple, junior Nathan Peaske, with alternates Adam Thibault and Scott Morin.
