– Laconia Advances to Round Two –
(DURHAM, October 10, 2008) - Laconia High School claimed a narrow victory over Plymouth Regional High School on Friday's Granite State Challenge. Laconia defeated Plymouth Regional by a score of 200 to 180. Granite State Challenge airs Fridays @ 6 p.m. and again Saturdays @ 8:30 a.m. on New Hampshire Public Television.Juniors William Flanagan and Kyle Beetle, and sophomores Amy Cass and Matt Dassatti, comprised the triumphant Laconia Sachems team, which was coached by Granite State Challenge alum, Bernie Campbell ('97). Campbell and his teammates from Salem High School won the 1997 Granite State SuperChallenge. Their opponents, the Plymouth Bobcats, included seniors Andrew Hedberg, Joel Martin, and Stefan Cavezzali, junior Nick Mignanelli, and alternates Kyler Mulherin and Molly McCahan.
