NHPBS Welcomes New Members to the Board of Directors and Community Advisory Board

DURHAM, NH, (September 8, 2023) - NHPBS begins its new fiscal year with new faces on both the Board of Directors and Community Advisory Board.

• Brian Hoffman of Whitefield moved from his role as Community Advisory Board Member to the Board of Directors. A New Hampshire Native, Brian’s expertise is in nonprofit and community economic development.
• Michael Tanner of Bedford is a program manager and engineer at BAE Systems. He is passionate about bringing his project management skills to community service.

New Hampshire PBS is governed by a self-perpetuating board of directors. A full list of board members is available at: nhpbs.org/about/board.

NHPBS thanked Zachary Slater of Portsmouth for his many years of service to the Board.

The Community Advisory Board (CAB) welcomed four new members to its programming advisory group.

• Gemma Soldati is a Somersworth resident and artist who seeks to support NHPBS and the culture of New Hampshire through arts and media.
• Claudia Decker is a Nashua resident and World Language educator who wants to contribute to the educational and outreach mission of NHPBS.
• Flo Nicolas is a Hudson resident with legal and technology background (host of Get Tech Smart and Get Resource Smart) and co-founder of DEI Directive. She would like to be a viable member of the CAB who will contribute fresh, innovative and creative ideas.
• Barbara Nadori is a resident of Lee and a former educator. She is interested in exploring how the educational needs of the community are being addressed through the programming being provided by NHPBS.

The New Hampshire PBS Community Advisory Board (CAB) is an advisory group that helps New Hampshire's statewide network be more responsive to the specialized needs of the communities it serves. It does this by providing for effective public participation to assist staff in assessing community needs, planning and decision making. The CAB’s members offer advice on programming, other services and gather feedback from the public. The CAB must be independent from the governing board of the station, which is NHPB's Board of Directors.
