(DURHAM, September 19, 2008) - Merrimack High School dominated the first match of Granite State Challenge's 26th season, defeating Goffstown High School by a score of 245 to 120. Granite State Challenge airs Fridays @ 6 p.m., and again Saturdays @ 8:30 a.m. on New Hampshire Public Television. Seniors Meghna Chandra, Carolyn Chakuroff, and Siddharth Soundararjan, junior Ross Johnson, and alternates Dan Chick, and Jeremy King, comprised the victorious Merrimack Tomahawk team, which was coached by Susan Ruggeri. Their opponents, the Goffstown Grizzlies, included seniors Brendan Bertagnoll, Lindsey Wiggin, Eric Moran, and Nicholas Aubut, and alternates Julia Rosen and Mitchel Entrekin.
