Are You Up for the Challenge? The "Granite State Challenge," That Is!

(DURHAM, September 12, 2008) – What local game show pits high school teams from all over New Hampshire against one another in the ultimate academic quiz showdown? None other than Granite State Challenge, now in its 26th season! Get ready to show off your school spirit (and smarts!) and play along with these teams when the new season of New Hampshire Public Television’s Granite State Challenge begins Friday, September 19th @ 6 p.m. Granite State Challenge brings New Hampshire’s top high school academic teams head-to-head in lively competition. The game emphasizes quick recall of factual material in all major disciplines – math, science, social studies, language arts and fine arts – along with a mix of questions about current events, entertainment, sports, and New Hampshire topics. Host Jim Jeannotte asks the Challenge questions to the teams; Tim Estiloz interviews team members prior to the game. Tune in each Friday night @ 6 p.m. to follow your favorite teams and track their progress through the weekly competition. If you miss an episode, catch it on iTunes or YouTube!
