 AMERICAN REVOLUTION HISTORY ON THIS DATE

1778 –  Loyalists and Seneca Indian forces attack a fort and village in eastern New York during the American Revolutionary War in the Cherry Valley massacre, killing more than forty civilians and soldiers.
