Hanover High School Defeats Pinkerton

(DURHAM, April 27, 2007) — Hanover High School defeated Pinkerton Academy Thursday, April 26th in an exciting Round Three match-up of Granite State Challenge. The Hanover team beat Pinkerton with a final score of 345 to 195. New Hampshire Public Television's Granite State Challenge airs Thursdays @ 7:30 p.m., and again on Saturdays @ 8:30 a.m. The victorious Hanover Marauders included juniors Dylan Matthews, Travers Rhodes and Finola Prendergast and sophomore Zach Sheets. They were coached by William N. Murphy. The Pinkerton Astros included seniors Peter Buttaro, Marshall Sutherland and Alec Poitzsch, and junior Abby Rugg. They were coached by Craig Silvius and Anthony C. Penta.Hanover High School will face Londonderry High School in the semifinals on Thursday, May 17 @ 7:30 p.m.
