Mindless Eating, Maintaining a Healthy Heart, Exercising Focus of NH Outlook LiveFIT NH Special

(DURHAM, February 28, 2008) — Did you know that, on average, we make about 250 food decisions per day? And many of these decisions are based on hidden cues? According to Brian Wansink, author of Mindless Eating - Why We Eat More Than We Think and a Cornell University professor of marketing and nutritional science, we may not realize how much we’re eating, what we’re eating–or why we’re even eating at all. Learn how to reduce “mindless eating” on the next “LiveFIT NH” NH Outlook special airing Sunday, March 2nd @ 9:30 a.m. The Van Scoyoc family of New Boston shares practical strategies to reduce mindless eating in the home, car and at work. Also, NH Outlook host Beth Carroll talks with two young NH women who have been affected by stroke and heart disease. Learn how to recognize the signs of both in yourself and those you love. And we find out some of the real benefits of exercise and how it affects longevity.NH Outlook, NHPTV’s award-winning public affairs program, is all about New Hampshire. It’s dedicated to statewide coverage of the people, places, politics and culture that make the Granite State special. NH Outlook airs Sundays from 9 – 10 a.m., also Mondays and Tuesdays at 7:30 p.m. NH Outlook programs are also available for viewing online at www.nhptv.org/outlook, along with other specials like the “Politics and Eggs” series, NH Education Adequacy forums, and UNH NH Authors’ Series.===================Working with partner organizations statewide, LiveFIT NH (www.nhptv.org/livefitnh) is NHPTV’s community engagement initiative that encourages healthy eating and physical activity in children and adults.
