Together We Can Achieve New Goals

A message from Peter Frid

New Hampshire PBS is no stranger to change. In the time that I’ve been with NHPBS, our small but mighty team has adapted to ever-changing technologies, experienced a $2.7 million loss in state funding and innovated new ways to work and deliver content during the pandemic. These are just a few of the changes we have faced together.

We thrive on tackling challenges and figuring out how best to serve our neighbors, but it is our incredible community of sustainers, BritWit Club members, major donors, Passport viewers, local businesses, foundations and members like YOU who have come together to make NHPBS stronger.

Our “Together We” campaign kicked off our 60th anniversary in 2019, and has carried us throughout the pandemic and resonates even more today. Your unfailing support has allowed us to create a brand-new digital series — THE STATE WE’RE IN — that has given us an enormous opportunity to engage the community, talk to experts, have meaningful conversations and develop solutions to issues that are facing Granite Staters.

When we wanted to deliver on our mission to cover the governor’s press conferences, a transformative gift from Dr. Geoffrey Clark and Senator Martha Fuller Clark allowed us to acquire new equipment to LIVE stream critical information to all platforms to serve the state. It is members, like you and the Clarks, who have provided the much-needed support to New Hampshire PBS.

Looking back over the year, there is so much to celebrate. Yet, we are looking forward to creating a future of opportunities in the new year with you.

Your support will help us get more boots on the ground to listen to the needs of our communities. Your support will allow us to be proactive and invest in new digital technologies. Your support will transform the infrastructure at all five of our transmitter sites. Your support will create the foundation for innovative programs and educational services for New Hampshire residents of all ages.

As we enter the final days of 2021, you have an opportunity to keep the momentum moving forward so we are ready to take on the next challenges. You can give a gift of stock, plan a gift in your will, become a monthly sustainer, allocate a gift from a donor-advised fund or join thousands of other members who enjoy our NHPBS Passport video-on-demand service.

As members, you know the power of your philanthropy will strengthen New Hampshire PBS. I hope to hear from you in the new year that together we can build a stronger future.

My staff and I wish you and your families a happy and healthy holiday season.

Sincerely,
Peter Frid
