Today is National Macaroon Day. On this date in 1889 a dam broke flooding Johnstown, Pennsylvania, killing over 2,000 individuals. Walt Whitman was born on this date in 1819. The sitcom Seinfeld premiered on this date in 1990. Former FBI official Mark Felt was identified as Deepthroat on this date in 2005.
