Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health COVID-19 Video Update, April 6
Lebanon, NH - The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) announced on Friday, April 3rd, that the public should wear cloth face coverings in public settings where social distancing is difficult to maintain. Following the CDC’s announcement, the New Hampshire Department of Public Health Services (DPHS) recommended that anyone entering a health care facility should be given a cloth mask, to reduce asymptomatic or pre-symptomatic transmission of COVID-19. Today, Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health (D-HH) announced that all employees, patients, and permitted visitors are now required to wear a mask upon entering any D-HH patient care facility. In today's video briefing, Antonia Altomare, DO, MPH, Hospital Epidemiologist and Infectious Disease Physician, discusses this new policy and highlights the different levels of masks.
