Littleton Meets Manchester Central

Granite State Challenge - Semifinals

Tune in to GRANITE STATE CHALLENGE Saturday, April 27 at 5:30 pm on NHPBS as the Crusaders oLittleton High School take on the Little Green of Manchester Central High in the first game in the semifinals of GRANITE STATE CHALLENGE.

Littleton defeated Bow High and Hanover High on their way to the semifinals and Manchester Central defeated Portsmouth Christian Academy and Souhegan High to secure their spot. The winner of this semifinal game will face either Plymouth Regional High School or Merrimack High School in the championship game.

With a little over 213 students, Littleton High School is one of the smallest public high schools in New Hampshire, and with over 1,400 students, Manchester Central is one of New Hampshire's largest.

The Crusaders of Littleton High are represented by captain junior Jenna Doucette, junior Marcos Silveira, senior Aidan Hastings, freshman Vincent Silva and alternate junior Breanna Corliss. The team is coached by Charles Denny.

Playing for the Manchester Central High Little Green are captain senior Tamsin Weissberg, senior Max Nakos, junior Karishma Manchanda, freshman Kellan Barbee, and alternates Jonas Weissberg and Eamonn Ryan. The team is coached by Lorraine Meyette.

GRANITE STATE CHALLENGE features New Hampshire's top high school academic quiz teams as they demonstrate remarkable teamwork, quick thinking and smarts to beat the clock and buzz in first on this iconic New Hampshire game show. The game emphasizes quick recall of math, science, social studies, language arts, and fine arts facts—along with questions about current events, entertainment, sports and New Hampshire.
