10th Annual Passport Craft Beer & Food Premiere Pairing Tour On Tap

(PORTSMOUTH, N.H., August 21, 2018) – Foodies and beer lovers rejoice! This September, New Hampshire PBS and Strawbery Banke Museum will join forces with dozens of craft brewers and Seacoast-area restaurants to celebrate 10 years of the annual PASSPORT Craft Beer & Food Pairing Tour. This late-summer tradition features beer and food pairings hand-selected by recent Food Network “Chopped” champion, Evan Hennessey from Stages at One Washington and Renee Thomas from Smuttynose Brewery.

PASSPORT will take place Saturday, September 15th, from 5 – 7:30 pm on the grounds of Strawbery Banke Museum. All proceeds from the tour benefit both New Hampshire PBS and the Museum. Tickets are limited and sell out quickly; they can be purchased at nhpbs.org/passport.

“Hands down, it’s one of the top five things I do every year,” says Greg Martin, who has attended Passport for six years. “I love the environment, the reason people come to Portsmouth is the restaurants, and we love craft beer. You really can’t get a better combination.”

Guests wind their way through the lanes of beautiful Strawbery Banke Museum as they sample craft beer thoughtfully paired with culinary creations from the inventive and new to familiar favorites, all supplied by local breweries and chefs.

Educating people about locally made food and brews remains at the core of PASSPORT. Beer and food aficionados can talk shop with their favorite local brewers and chefs. Guests can also play lawn games while listening to the music of local folk-rock artists, MARTIN ENGLAND and the RECONSTRUCTED. To celebrate ten years, this year’s PASSPORT will include a special anniversary beer crafted by Charlie Ireland of Smuttlabs.

This year PASSPORT will also feature a special raffle for a one-night stay, dinner and brewery tour in the heart of the White Mountains at the Woodstock Inn, Station and Brewery in North Woodstock, NH.  Tickets are $5 for one, and $20 for five.

 PASSPORT will feature more than 15 breweries, including Smuttynose Brewing Company; Portsmouth Brewery; Allagash Brewing Company; Bad Lab Beer Company; Chapel + Main Restaurant & Brewery; Deciduous Brewing Company; Earth Eagle Brewings; Garrison City Beerworks; Great North Aleworks; Great Rhythm Brewing Company; Liar’s Bench Beer Company; Loaded Question Brewing Company; Martha's Exchange Restaurant & Brewing Company; MOAT Mountain Smoke House & Brewing Company; Neighborhood Beer Company; North Country Hard Cider Company; Schilling Beer Company; SmuttLabs; Stoneface Brewing; Throwback Brewery and Woodstock Inn, Station & Brewery.

PASSPORT tickets are available at nhpbs.org/passport. Your $80 ticket to PASSPORT includes access to all Main Event pairing stations and a 2018 Passport commemorative tasting glass. A $40 Designated Driver ticket includes access to all food at Main Event pairing stations and a selection of non-alcoholic beverages.  Diplomat VIP Tickets are SOLD OUT.
