DURHAM, September 3)- Subscribers to RCN Basic Cable in northern and eastern Massachusetts can now catch award-winning local programs and the best of PBS on New Hampshire Public Television, the two organizations announced today. Highlights of NHPTV’s Fall 2002 schedule include: ·Wildlife Journal, a new program produced with the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department that explores the state’s beautiful natural habitats and its range of outdoor activities. Wildlife Journal airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. and Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m. beginning October 3; At least 10 hours of daily Ready To Learn programs for children, including the new animated history series from PBS, Liberty’s Kids (weekdays at 3:30 p.m.); A digitally remastered version of the groundbreaking PBS series The Civil War, premiering Sunday, September 22 at 8 p.m.; Ken Burns’s American Stories, a weekly series featuring the acclaimed documentary filmmaker’s memorable features each Sunday at 9 p.m. beginning October 6; Rumpole of the Bailey, the classic British mystery series starring the late Leo McKern, on Mondays at 10:30 p.m. beginning October 7; NH Outlook, NHPTV’s nightly 10 p.m. newsmagazine, which has garnered awards from the Associated Press and the NHAB for its coverage of local community issues. This fall, NH Outlook provides special NH Votes 2002 coverage through Election Day; and Granite State Challenge, the popular high school quiz show, returns for its 20th anniversary season Mondays at 7:30 p.m. beginning September 30.
