THE NHPTV AUCTION TURNS 30

DURHAM, March 19, 2003)—The New Hampshire Public Television Auction turns 30 this year, and donations are coming in from businesses all over Northern New England. For nine nights in May, NHPTV viewers in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Maine and Vermont will tune in to bid on everything from fine art to family vacations, dining and lodging to sports equipment.Meanwhile, online bidding on the Auction Superboard is just two weeks away. Center stage is a fully loaded 2003 Toyota Prius. Using advanced technology, the Toyota hybrid system incorporates a dual gas and electric engine. At 566 miles per tank, the Prius has been rated an ultra low-emission vehicle. Donated by the New England Toyota Dealers, the 2003 Prius has a value of $21,020. Also available for online bidding are exciting trips with longtime NHPTV Auction partner American Airlines. Destinations include Paris, London, the Caribbean and other great getaway spots.The 2003 NHPTV Spring Auction will be broadcast live from Friday, May 2 through Saturday, May 10. Every donation helps New Hampshire Public Television serve more than 500,000 Northern New England households each week.Donors are still welcome to join in the celebration of 30 years of Auction fun.
