NHPTV RECEIVES FIVE NHAB GOLDEN MIKE AWARDS

(DURHAM, October 22, 2003) — New Hampshire Public Television received five awards during the New Hampshire Association of Broadcasters’ (NHAB) annual Golden Mike Awards ceremonies in Concord on Friday.NH Outlook, NHPTV’s nightly newsmagazine, took home the Public Affairs Show first place award for its program about Internet privacy. NH Outlook also won the Television Talk Show merit award for its Friday edition with statewide journalists. NHPTV was named the Station of the Year merit winner. New Hampshire Public Television’s coverage of UNH Hockey earned the merit award for Sports Play-by-Play. In the Station Promotional Announcement category, NHPTV won the merit award for a spot for Wildlife Journal, the award-winning series that features outdoor recreation and wildlife resources in the Granite State. Peter Frid, NHPTV’s general manager and CEO, was honored for his years of service to the NHAB.Established in 1954, the New Hampshire Association of Broadcasters is a voluntary, statewide trade organization serving 98 percent of the Granite State 's over-the-air radio and television stations.
