(DURHAM, November 22, 2016) – Visions of holiday gifts for family, friends (and ourselves) are all up for bidding and buying on the NHPTV Online Holiday Auction website! With more than 900 items – practical, special and priceless – gift-giving and supporting your favorite PBS station are two items you can easily check off your list by going to nhptv.org/auction.
The NHPTV Online Holiday Auction, which runs from November 15 to December 8, is packed with items, big and small, generously donated by more than 700 businesses across the state, region and country. “Our donors give because they love what we do,” said Judy Pinkham, Director of Fundraising Events at NHPTV. “And they know we rely on their support to offer the local and PBS programs their families and friends enjoy.” Up for bid are food and dining certificates for restaurants around the Granite State, gift baskets already wrapped, maple syrup, handmade quilts and afghans, books, lodging and travel certificates, ski passes, household items, holiday items, and much more!
Two unique items for country music fans are a Takamine guitar signed by Kenny Chesney and tickets to Chesney’s concert at Gillette Stadium in August 2017. Those looking for a special vacation will want to bid on the trip to Portugal that includes travel on TAP Portugal Airlines and three nights at Hotel Portugal Lisbon. And Windows to the Wild fans can bid on a lunch date with host and outdoor adventurer, Will Lange!
When bidders purchase from the NHPTV Online Holiday Auction, the proceeds support New Hampshire Public Television’s award-winning programs and services. Volunteers have been tirelessly photographing, proofing and listing each item on nhptv.org/auction. “The Online Holiday Auction is a great way to shop for holiday gifts. It’s a streamlined version of our annual live Spring Auction,” said Judy Pinkham. “The size and efficiency of the holiday auction mean that we’re able to put all the proceeds directly to supporting the programs and services our viewers love.”
