NHPTV TO SHUT DOWN ANALOG TRANSMITTER LOCATED IN STEWARTSTOWN

STATION CHANNELS STILL AVAILABLE TO REGION’S VIEWERS

(DURHAM, June 29, 2016) — In July, New Hampshire Public Television plans to shut down its analog transmitter on Holden Hill in Stewartstown. Viewers will continue to be able to watch the station via the digital transmitter on Holden Hill. The move will cut electrical use in half, saving energy and money.Currently NHPTV has both digital and analog transmitters on Holden Hill. Viewers are asked to rescan their televisions if they currently watch via the analog signal. This will enable them to watch via NHPTV’s digital signal, which carries all four New Hampshire Public Television channels (NHPTV PRIME, NHPTV EXPLORE, WORLD and CREATE).“We are inviting the public to comment on this change, and to contact us if they want to learn more about it,” said Peter A. Frid, President and CEO of NHPTV. Viewers can call the station at (603) 868-1100 or email themailbox@nhptv.org.
