(DURHAM, April 30, 2016) - In this week's GRANITE STATE CHALLENGE semifinal match, Nashua High School South continued its impressive winning streak with a 690 to 360 victory against Concord High School. Nashua's win secures the team a spot in the GRANITE STATE SUPERCHALLENGE match. The Nashua Panthers team was represented by captain Dody Eid, Noah Telerski, Sam McIntyrel and Nicha Devasia, and coached by Neil Claffey, Catherine Poulin and Greg Montine. The Concord Crimson Tide team was represented by captain Eliot Sands, Conor Kilgore, Kyle McDonough and Sean Fallon, and coached by Helen Dugan and Chad Fleming.

Hosted by Jim Jeannotte, the popular quiz contest began the season with 16 Granite State high school teams battling toward the coveted SUPERCHALLENGE title. Also, for a fourth year, there will be a Granite State vs. Bay State Governor's Cup match between the winners of the GRANITE STATE SUPERCHALLENGE and the WGBH Boston High School Quiz Show. New Hampshire's top high school academic teams demonstrate remarkable teamwork, quick thinking and smarts as they play GRANITE STATE CHALLENGE. The game emphasizes quick recall of math, science, social studies, language arts and fine arts fact-along with questions about current events, entertainment, sports, and New England.
