MANCHESTER CENTRAL TOPS PLYMOUTH AND MOVES TO SEMIFINALS OF GRANITE STATE CHALLENGE

(DURHAM, April 16, 2016) - In this week's GRANITE STATE CHALLENGE match, Manchester Central beat Plymouth Regional High School by a score of 410 to 320. Plymouth started the game with a sizable lead, but Manchester Central dominated the final round and took home the victory.The Manchester Little Green team was represented by captain Liam Downing, Tom Regan, Sean Madden and Emery Veilleux, and coached by Lorraine Meyette. The Plymouth Bob Cats team was represented by captain Andrew Chabot, Sean Harris, Isaac Lewis and Nate Maves-Moore, and coached by Jay Fogarty. Hosted by Jim Jeannotte, the popular quiz contest began the season with 16 Granite State high school teams battling toward the coveted SUPERCHALLENGE title. Also, for a fourth year, there will be a Granite State vs. Bay State Governor's Cup match between the winners of the GRANITE STATE SUPERCHALLENGE and the WGBH Boston High School Quiz Show.New Hampshire's top high school academic teams demonstrate remarkable teamwork, quick thinking and smarts as they play GRANITE STATE CHALLENGE.
