(DURHAM, February 5, 2004) – Kelly A. Clark has joined New Hampshire Public Television as its Director of Educational Services and Molly Hodgson Smith is NHPTV’s new Manager of Individual Giving. “We are very pleased to have Kelly Clark and Molly Hodgson Smith on board,” noted Peter A. Frid, general manager and CEO of New Hampshire Public Television. “Kelly has extensive experience in working with the state’s academic, business and governmental organizations, which will be important as she further develops NHPTV’s educational services. Molly has worked for a number of years to help businesses improve their profile and profitability, and we anticipate she will be a terrific asset in helping us build relationships with NHPTV’s individual donors.” Clark will oversee the educational programs and initiatives that are part of NHPTV’s Knowledge Network division, including educational program/content development, educational outreach, professional development, distance learning, instructional television and the Internet. NHPTV provides a wide range of technology-based educational services, including programs for pre-school, K-12, post-secondary, business and industry and lifelong learning constituents throughout New Hampshire. Clark previously was the executive director of the New Hampshire Forum on Higher Education, a group comprised of business, education and public policy leaders dedicated to ensuring there is a workforce of educated and well-trained citizens to sustain New Hampshire's economic prosperity. Clark also was the president of the New Hampshire Workforce Opportunity Council, and served as the town manager for Henniker and Gorham. As Manager of Individual Giving, Hodgson Smith will oversee NHPTV’s individual giving campaign, create fundraising strategies, and plan and coordinate on-air membership drives. Hodgson Smith previously served as executive director of New Hampshire Stories, Inc., an organization that promotes New Hampshire people, products, and services. A graduate of the University of New Hampshire, Hodgson Smith is participating in the Leadership New Hampshire Class of 2004 and was selected by the Manchester Union Leader in 2001 as a “Forty Under 40” leader.
