"OUR HOMETOWN: COLEBROOK" FREE SCREENING NOVEMBER 6th

Residents And Business Owners Tell The Town's Story in New NHPTV Program

(DURHAM, October 22, 2015) — Colebrook is the focus of a new episode of New Hampshire Public Television’s OUR HOMETOWN series, which will have its screening premiere at the Tillotson Center on November 6th at 7 p.m. The public is invited to attend this free event. Seating is limited; please contact Anne Sullivan at the Tillotson Center at 237-8576 for tickets.OUR HOMETOWN: COLEBROOK presents an in-depth and personal look at the residents of Colebrook, NH and what it’s like to live north of the Notches. In the show, meet town historian Arnold Goodrum, find out how Québécois transplant Benoit Lamontagne brought business to town, hear John Harrigan recount the darkest day in the town’s history; learn why Jonathon Dodge opened his business in Colebrook, and find out how Julie Moran helped found a food coop for the North Country. The stories so generously told to NHPTV were fascinating and inspirational. While it was not possible to include all 34 stories in the 30-minute program, everyone's story will be showcased at the screening premiere November 6th. Produced in partnership with a community, each OUR HOMETOWN program engages residents in telling their stories, which are then video-recorded and edited into a 30-minute television program which is broadcast on NHPTV, and available online with additional interviews at nhptv.org/ourhometown. The series is hosted by New Hampshire native, author and storyteller Rebecca Rule. The OUR HOMETOWN series premiered in March with a focus on Peterborough. The series explores the vibrant culture, commerce, history and people of New Hampshire's 221 towns and 13 cities, and Colebrook is the second location featured. Stratham will be the next town featured in the series.OUR HOMETOWN: COLEBROOK premieres Thursday, November 12 at 8 p.m. on NHPTV PRIME with multiple airdates on PRIME and EXPLORE and online at video.nhptv.org Learn more: www.nhptv.org/ourhometown or e-mail hometown@nhptv.org .OUR HOMETOWN: COLEBROOK is supported by: AutoNorth • Granite Bank • Daniel Herbert, Inc. •Colebrook Country Club • LaPerle’s IGA • LL Cote • Kheops International, Inc. • North Country Chamber of Commerce • Bear Rock Suites • Cité Écologique Learning Center • Lancaster Eye Care • North Country Health Consortium • Sunny Valley Creations • White Mountain Distributors • Tuckerman Brewing Company • Waystack Frizzell Trial Lawyers • Colebrook Historical Society • Tillotson Center for the Arts • The Colebrook Chronicle • Samuel P.
