(DURHAM, February 6, 2015) — To better serve New Hampshire’s North Country, New Hampshire Public Television is building a new transmission tower on Manns Hill in Littleton. The project, which will be done by Northeast Towers, will be completed in late summer or early fall 2015.NHPTV will have the capacity to better serve all current and future tenants, including the NH State Police, Civil Air Patrol, Grafton County Sheriff’s Department, NH Public Radio, and Littleton Regional Hospital. The current tower was built in 1967, and does not meet RevG standards.“The new tower will enable NHPTV to serve northern New Hampshire, including Coos and Grafton counties, as well as eastern Vermont, with technology that will support its first responder network of law enforcement and medical services. It also will provide state-of-the-art technology for businesses to lease,” said Peter A. Frid, President and CEO of NHPTV.
