Alvirne High School Advances to Finals of NHPTV's GSC

(Durham, May 5, 2005) – Alvirne High School defeated Con-Val Regional High School by a score of 330 to 230 Monday night in the second semifinal match-up of Granite State Challenge on New Hampshire Public Television. Granite State Challenge airs on NHPTV Mondays at 7:30 p.m. and repeats Saturdays at 8:30 a.m.The Alvirne Broncos, comprised of senior Craig Curran, and juniors Brandon Mansur, Jack Bouchard and Matt Doiron, galloped away with a win over the Con-Val team comprised of seniors Liam Delahanty, Nick Morse, Rebecca Seidel and sophomore John Howland. The Alvirne team advances to the GSC SuperChallenge, where it will compete against Inter-Lakes High School.Thirty-two Granite State high school teams began battling toward the coveted SuperChallenge title in September. The GSC SuperChallenge is scheduled for Thurs., May 26 @ 8 p.m.
