(DURHAM, June 3, 2013) — New Hampshire Public Television received a Boston/New England Emmy® Award for Children/Youth Program for its TIGER TAKES ON BULLYING special. It also received four other nominations for the 36th Boston/New England Emmy® Awards. TIGER TAKES ON BULLYING is a lively, music-filled program that helps elementary school kids learn how to deal with bullying in school, online and socially. By using children's own words, TIGER TAKES ON BULLYING depicts their real experiences with bullying and intolerance. TIGER TAKES ON BULLYING is a co-production with Plymouth State University’s TIGER theatre company (Carla Gordon Russell, NHPTV producer; Patricia Lindberg, PSU producer). Additionally, NHPTV was nominated for outstanding environmental program for BIRD TALES, a WINDOWS TO THE WILD special (Phil Vaughn, producer/editor; Steve Giordani, videographer); outstanding program host for Willem Lange and his work on WINDOWS TO THE WILD; and TIGER TAKES ON BULLYING for musical composition/arrangement, and graphic arts/set design.The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) is the premier and most recognized non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of excellence in television.
