(DURHAM, May 2, 2013) — New Hampshire Public Television has received five Boston/New England Emmy® Award nominations. The award winners will be announced at the 36th Boston/New England Emmy® Awards Ceremony on June 1st in Boston. NHPTV was nominated for:• BIRD TALES, a WINDOWS TO THE WILD special – outstanding environmental program (Phil Vaughn, producer/editor; Steve Giordani, videographer);• Willem Lange – outstanding program host for his work on WINDOWS TO THE WILD;• TIGER TAKES ON BULLYING, a lively, music-filled program that helps elementary school kids learn how to deal with bullying in school, online and socially – outstanding children/youth program, musical composition/arrangement, and graphic arts/set design. The program is a co-production with Plymouth State University’s TIGER theatre company (Carla Gordon Russell, NHPTV producer; Patricia Lindberg, PSU producer). The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) is the premier and most recognized non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of excellence in television. The Academy awards the EMMY®, the most prestigious, peer-judged honor in television for outstanding creative achievement.
