FILM SCREENINGS & DISCUSSION EVENTS TO BE HELD AROUND THE GRANITE STATE THIS FALL
(DURHAM, September 11, 2012) – Everyone needs some form of health care, but not everyone has the means to access it or pay for it. This fall, New Hampshire Public Television and the Endowment for Health are presenting six free screening and discussion events around the Granite State to encourage dialog about health care affordability, accessibility and quality in New Hampshire. At each event, the hour-long PBS documentary film U.S. HEALTH CARE: THE GOOD NEWS will be shown, followed by a panel and audience discussion based on the question, “NH Health Care – Is There Good News?”. The panels will be comprised of healthcare providers, policy makers and health care consumers, and the discussion at each event is intended to help people continue the dialog with friends, families, physicians, representatives and policy makers. By shedding light on health care innovations and opportunities in our own state, attendees will be able to compare what is happening across the country and in New Hampshire to make health care more affordable and accessible while ensuring good health outcomes. This series of free public events, funded by the Endowment for Health, is open to the public. It is produced in partnership with the NH Citizens Health Initiative.
