CANDIDATE FORUMS ON BUSINESS & ECONOMY

Gubernatorial and congressional candidates will face tough questions on local and national business and economic issues from Granite State journalists.Aug. 28, 2012 – The Business and Industry Association, New Hampshire Union Leader, New Hampshire Public Radio and New Hampshire Public Television will present a series of business and economic forums in September during which candidates for U.S. House of Representatives and governor will discuss issues related to the New Hampshire and national economies.“Our Candidate Forum on the Economy series is an opportunity to delve into important and complex business and economic issues that are foremost on the minds of New Hampshire’s business community,” said Jim Roche, president of the Business and Industry Association, which is New Hampshire’s statewide chamber of commerce and leading business advocate. “They will be less formal than traditional debates, but still require the candidates to answer direct and pointed questions about how they would respond to and address the business and economic challenges facing our state and nation today.”The forums, which will be held at the New Hampshire Institute of Politics and Political Library at Saint Anselm College, are sponsored by Lincoln Financial Group. Each forum will be streamed live and archived on NHPTV. Forums will rebroadcast at 8 PM Sept. 17, 18 and 19 on NHPTV. Laura Knoy, host of The Exchange, will moderate the forums. Panelists will include NHPTV reporter Phil Vaughn and a Union Leader reporter.
