St. Thomas Aquinas Advances to Quarterfinals of Granite State Challenge

(DURHAM, February 24, 2011) – St. Thomas Aquinas dominated last night's Granite State Challenge match, defeating Laconia High School by a score of 325 to 170. The St. Thomas Aquinas Saints now advance to the quarterfinals. Catch Granite State Challenge Wednesdays at 6 p.m. and again Saturdays at 8:30 a.m. on New Hampshire Public Television, and always online.The victorious St. Thomas Aquinas Saints included seniors Matt Devine, Mike Fort, Catherine McAfee, Anna Whitham, junior Tim Bouffard and sophomore Alison Hiatt. They were coached by Charles Prince. Their opponents, the Laconia Sachems, included seniors Brooke Baerman, Matt Dassatti, Josh Curtis, Chelsea Howard and Abby O'Hara. They were coached by Bernie Campbell.St. Thomas Aquinas High School will face the winner of next week's match in the quarterfinals on March 30th at 6 p.m. TUNE IN WEDNESDAY, MARCH 2 @ 6 p.m. KEENE HIGH SCHOOL vs. BISHOP BRADY HIGH SCHOOLTune in each Wednesday night @ 6 p.m. and follow your favorite teams' progress. There are four single-elimination rounds leading to the final contest in April.
