Nashua High School South Advances to Round Two of Granite State Challenge

(DURHAM, December 9, 2010) – The crosstown rivalry kicked up a notch last night, as Nashua High School South defeated Nashua High School North by a score of 275 to 245 on Granite State Challenge. Catch Granite State Challenge Wednesdays at 6 p.m. and again Saturdays at 8:30 a.m. on New Hampshire Public Television, and always online.The triumphant Nashua South Purple Panthers included seniors Alden LeClair, Mitchell Gustin, Kinjal Shah, William Gosse, IV, and juniors Erin Barry and Alicia Javier. They were coached by Neil Claffey and Catherine E. Poulin. Their opponents, the Nashua North Titans, included seniors Kevin McAleese, Erika Brown, Nick Kwan, Alec Creteau, junior Allison Billingsly and sophomore Priyanka Satpute. There are four single-elimination rounds leading to the final contest in April.
