Rodney Rowland, 603-422-7525, rrowland@strawberybanke.org Event graphics & photos available upon request.(Portsmouth, NH, August 10, 2010) – The best in regional craft beer and tempting local culinary creations, served at beautiful Strawbery Banke Museum, will make for a very appetizing evening on September 25 from 5 – 9 p.m. The second annual PASSPORT Craft Beer & Culinary World Tour, to benefit New Hampshire Public Television and Strawbery Banke Museum, offers guests a savory tour of a wide array of pairing stations. Guests will stroll around the museum’s grounds to sample and learn about the region’s leading craft beer styles and the cuisines they complement. The Strawbery Banke cooper will be making a beer barrel on site, and guests will be able to taste Moat Mountain beer poured from one of his barrels. Participating PASSPORT breweries include: Smuttynose Brewing Company, Allagash Brewing Company, Moat Mountain Brewing Company, and Tuckerman Brewing Company. Participating PASSPORT restaurants and food purveyors include: Black Trumpet, Blue Mermaid, Brazo, Common Man, Flavor Concepts - Evan Hennessey, Four Restaurant, Galley Hatch, Jumpin' Jay's Fish Café, Lindt Chocolates, Mombo, North Country Smokehouse, Oar House, Popovers, Philbrick's Fresh Market, Portsmouth Brewery, RiRa, The Rosa, and Three Chimneys Inn. The noted Seacoast-based African drumming group Foté will perform at the event. Tickets for PASSPORT are on sale for just $50 and include a signature PASSPORT beer glass. VIP tickets for PASSPORT are available for $85 and include an exclusive tasting hour from 4 – 5 p.m. led by local head brewers, with specially aged vintage beers from Smuttynose paired with Mombo's internationally inspired cuisine, as well as a VIP gift bag and PASSPORT beer glass.
