Fuzjko Hemming is a former child piano prodigy whose life took a winding path to success. A highlight of her career was visiting the Spanish island of Mallorca to follow in the footsteps of composer Frederic Chopin. Over 90 years old, Fuzjko still takes to the world's stages as a "pianist of the soul." But her life has not been without obstacles, such as severe hearing loss and a period following the war when she had no citizenship status. Her favorite composer, "poet of the piano" Chopin, was also beset by obstacles. Taking a winter sojourn to Mallorca for his health, Chopin wrote several masterpieces despite being told by doctors that he would die there.
