Intro to New England Genealogy: 1620-1850
Virtual Workshop Series
Celebrate America's 250th by learning how to trace your family's roots all the way back to 1620!
New Hampshire PBS has partnered with the New Hampshire Society of Genealogists (NHSOG) to bring you a weekly five-session virtual “Introduction to New England Genealogy: 1620 - 1850” Course. The first session begins on Wednesday, September 2 — link to workshop series will be emailed after signing up.
?? In this 60 minute weekly workshop you'll learn:
- How to find vital records, including town, county, state, land records and more!
- Understanding the kinds of genealogically relevant information found in Newspapers.
- Tracing your family tree back to 1620!
- Links to instructional videos keyed to each week’s topics to review in advance of each session.
?? FIVE Live Sessions (all from 7 PM-8 PM):
- September 2 – Course introduction and New England history for genealogists
- September 9 – Town records
- September 16 – County records
- September 23 – State records
- September 30 – Published sources
