Join NH Civics on Thursday, March 12, at 11:00 am for "Kid Power!," a virtual William W. Treat Talk with author and global change maker Marley Dias. She will be joined by 4th graders from Somersworth, NH, for a conversation on energizing youth to be active participants in our civic society and prepare to be future leaders.
This event will be livestreamed courtesy of our partner, NHPBS, and is made possible by the William W. Treat Foundation, McLane Middleton, and a grant from New Hampshire Humanities, with support from New Hampshire Charitable Foundation.

About Marley:
Marley Dias is an insightful, dynamic, purpose-driven changemaker who launched the viral #1000BlackGirlBooks campaign and authored Marley Dias Gets It Done: And So Can You! At just 13, she became the youngest person ever named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list (2018), and her campaign has since collected over 15,000 books, transforming the conversation around representation in children’s literature. She is currently a student at Harvard University, where she wrote for The Harvard Crimson. In 2025, Marley launched Third Space, a weekly newsletter that invites readers to explore culture, identity, and imagination. Read more about Marley here.
