This holiday season, join the Milk Street Cooking School team for a livestream cooking class to support public television. Whether you cook along with us or sit back and watch, you’ll get to pose your questions in real time to Milk Street’s own Rosemary Gill and April Dodd.
You’ll learn which recipes actually make the cut when it comes to our holiday entertaining plans and how we balance not only flavors and textures, but also logistics and timing. In this 75-minute class, we’re making mashed potatoes and gravy—each with a unique Milk Street twist. Our Butter-Braised Mashed Potatoes use an ingenious ratio of water to butter, resulting in the silky-smooth mashed potatoes we all aspire to. Meanwhile, our Brussels Sprouts with Cranberries, Pears and Goat Cheese are a lesson in contrast, which Milk Street believes is one of the most fundamental qualities of a great dish—and a great meal. To satisfy your sweet tooth, we’ll also walk you through our Dark Chocolate Terrine, which just may be the most elegant holiday dessert we’ve ever developed. Join us for 75 minutes of cooking that will inspire many winter meals to come.
Can’t attend in real time? No problem! Every registered attendee will receive a copy of the event recording so that you can watch it on your own time. Plus, every attendee of this class will receive a 20% discount code to the Milk Street Store!
