NHPTV HAS A NATIONAL WINNER!
Congratulations to Jishnu Dey of Dover, New Hampshire! He was the national first place winner for third grade in the PBS KIDS Writers Contest. His story, A Humble Book of Poems (With a Little Seasoning) was a collection of beautifully illustrated poems about the seasons.
This is the second year in a row the NHPTV has had a national winner. Last year Stephen Denio of Manchester was the national second place winner for second grade for his story, Percy Learns a Lesson - the tale of a pencil that missed out on having fun because he was afraid of being sharpened.
You can see all the winning stories from NHPTV here. We are getting ready for next year's contest, which officially begins on January 1, 2015, but there is nothing to stop kids or classes from working on their stories now! The rules will stay exactly the same! |
