Chlopsidae - False Morays

The species in this family of eels are found in coral reefs in tropical and subtropical ocean waters around the world. They resemble moray eels, but are a little smaller, usually no more than 7-8 inches in length. They can be hard to spot. They often burrow in the sand or hide in crevices in the reef.
