Notacanthus chemnitzii - Snubnosed Spiny EelThere are around 11 species in this family. Deep-sea spiny eels have a long, slightly taped body. They live in offshore waters around the world and are found at depths of 400-11,000 feet! They have a long anal fin that stretches the length of their tail.
