Cebidae - capuchin and squirrel monkeys

Squirrel MonkeyThere are about 17 species of primates in this family. The monkeys in this family are found from Mexico south to South America. They have very long arms and legs and long tails. In some species, the tail is prehensile, in others, it is not. They have nails on their fingers and toes. They live in family groups. They are very agile and are active in the day. Most species live in trees in forested areas and are omnivores.
