Windows to the Wild

Join host Willem Lange for the 21st season of WINDOWS TO THE WILD! Travel across New England, and meet fascinating people and explore the places that connect us to the outdoors. Join the crew as they catch up with a New Hampshire woman who rowed solo across the Atlantic Ocean, visit a famous garden on the Isles of Shoals’ Appledore Island, meet a master falconer in Temple, New Hampshire and catch a wave with a family on Higgins Beach in Scarborough, Maine.

This season we’re inviting audiences to experience adventures in New England, one bite-sized story at a time. New stories will premiere weekly on the NHPBS YouTube channel and the PBS App.

We’re always looking for a good story! Share your ideas with the WINDOWS TO THE WILD crew.

The Willem Lange Endowment Fund

With the roll-back in federal funding for public media, unique local programs like WINDOWS TO THE WILD are facing an uncertain path forward. Now more than ever, viewers can help secure the future of environmental, nature and outdoor programming by donating to a gift to to the wild.

Established by a friend of New Hampshire PBS, this permanent fund recognizes Willem’s contributions to public television and environmental and outdoor education by fostering an appreciation for travel, wild places and natural beauty.
