A weekly how-to series for the backyard gardener. Host Chris Cooper, University of Tennessee Extension Agent, talks with plant and gardening experts. Segments demonstrate garden tasks; share information on plants, pests, and diseases; and offer timely tips for maximizing garden performance. Common topics of discussion include vegetable gardens, annual flowers, lawns, houseplants, trees, insects, fruit, garden chemicals, and animals you find in the garden. Frequent guests include retired career extension agent Mike "Mr. D" Dennison; Joellen Dimond, Director of Landscape at The University of Memphis, UT Horticultural Specialist Carol Reese, and Mississippi Horticultural Specialist Dr. Lelia Kelly. Each week Chris and his guests also answer viewer questions submitted by e-mail.
