The Basque country straddles the border between southwest France and northeast Spain, but except for their passports the Basques are neither French nor Spanish -- they are Basque. They speak the oldest European language still spoken, so old that no one can tell where it came from. In this program Burt travels through the Basque country, visits the hometown of the first person to sail completely around the world, looks at the early works of Andy Warhol in the Bilbao Museum, and tastes what the Basques are eating and drinking.
