Through Arthur Fiedler, John Williams and Keith Lockhart, the Pops mastered the blend of popular and classical works. Historical footage and contemporary video tell the story. The Secret Life of Musicians: Double bassist Joe Hearne pilots small planes • Leonard Bernstein's love affair with the Boston Symphony. In this portrait, we trace Bernstein's story to his childhood in Lowell, his student years at Harvard and his lifelong involvement with Tanglewood and the Symphony. The coming year will be devoted to the centennial celebration of Bernstein's birth and to his enduring legacy. Portrait of Paul Lewis: The piano virtuoso visits the BSO as a guest artist. Learn the secrets of playing Beethoven and watch Lewis as he runs through his repertoire.

BSO 360, a five-part limited series, captures the spirit of the Boston Symphony Orchestra (BSO) and the talented people who make the orchestra a beloved institution in Boston and throughout the world.

Featuring compelling stories, delightful music and in-depth profiles, the program provides a backstage pass to the inner workings of this world-class orchestra.

Episodes include a visit to the banks of the Charles River in Boston, where every July fourth the BSO invites the public to a joyous celebration of America's birthday, complete with majestic music, performances by popular artists and a massive fireworks display.

Featured guests in this episode include: conductor Keith Lockhart; Tony Award winner Leslie Odom, Jr.

of Hamilton; Grammy Award winner Melissa Etheridge; and musician Andy Grammer.

Other episodes include segments such as "The Secret Life of Musicians, " which details the hidden talents and other endeavors of BSO musicians, and "From the Vault," which features video of some of the most famous BSO performances.
