Another character named Cautious had written an emergency letter just in case the game froze and a piece was missing. The letter was about to come in very hand. The wizard lived in the same house as the pieces, so he wouldn't have any trouble hearing them. Right when the pieces were about to stop calling and give up, the wizard appeared out of thin air!
