Nashua High South Meets Fall Mountin Regional High

Granite State Challenge - Quarterfinals

(DURHAM, March 31, 2022) - Tune in on Saturday, April 2 at 6 pm on NHPBS for the first match in the quarterfinals in the 40th season of Granite State Challenge. 

Fall Mountain defeated Littleton to secure its spot in the quarterfinal round. Playing for Fall Mountain High are captain and senior Jacob Bradly and seniors Marcus Flynn, Colin Regan, and Enrique Ingram-Mendez. The team alternate is junior Grace St. Pierre. The team is coached by Nick Belsky. Fall Mountain Regional High is located in Langdon and serves the towns of Alstead, Acworth, Charlestown, Langdon, Walpole, Goshen, Lempster, and Unity. Fall Mountain enrolls 496  students. 

Nashua South High bested Bow High on its way to the quarterfinals. Playing for Nashua South High are Captain and senior Sri Korandla, senior Kiritu Gachuki, senior Keshav Rangan, and sophomore Curtis Newton. The team alternates are senior Hrishi Joshi and sophomore Deetya Nagri. Nashua South High is coached by Lex Duval. Nashua South High enrolls 1,790 students.

The winner of the match will face either Merrimack High or Plymouth Regional High in the semifinal round.

Granite State Challenge features New Hampshire's top high school academic quiz teams as they demonstrate remarkable teamwork, quick thinking, and smarts to beat the clock and buzz in first on this iconic New Hampshire game show. The game emphasizes quick recall of math, science, social studies, language arts, and fine arts facts - along with questions about current events, entertainment, sports, and New Hampshire.
