New Hampshire PBS Honored with Awards at NHAB’s Virtual Awards Ceremony

(November 1, 2021) Durham, NH - New Hampshire PBS received one first place and four merit awards during the recent New Hampshire Association of Broadcasters (NHAB) Granite Mikes virtual event where NHAB leadership honored the member stations for their hard work.

NHPBS received a first place Sports Feature for the program WINDOWS TO THE WILD: HIGH PLACES. The show profiles rock climbing guides Jon and Laura Sykes who take host Willem Lange to the Notches where they show how to enjoy New Hampshire's landscape from the face of Echo Crag. WINDOWS TO THE WILD received a Feature Story merit award for the story WINTER IN THE WHITE MOUNTAINS. Outdoor Afro volunteer leader Mardi Fuller takes viewers on a winter hike to the summit of some of New Hampshire's most spectacular four-thousand foot mountains. The NHPBS special documentary series ROADS TO RECOVERY received a Documentary News merit award for the episode KEEPING VETERANS WELL where we look at the problem of substance use disorders among New Hampshire's veteran population and go beyond the problem to focus on solutions.
