"NH OUTLOOK" Recognized for Coverage of Forestry Issues

DURHAM, April 25, 2002 - The New Hampshire Timberland Owners Association has recognized NH Outlook, New Hampshire Public Television's nightly newsmagazine with its 2002 award for "Outstanding Media Coverage of Forestry Issues." The award will be presented April 27 at the NHTOA's 91st annual meeting in Portsmouth. The association particularly noted NH Outlook's dedication to covering the International Paper land sale and the financial troubles facing the Berlin and Gorham pulp and paper mills over the last year. "We appreciate this recognition of our ongoing efforts to cover statewide issues," says NH Outlook executive producer Dawn DeAngelis.NH Outlook host Allison McNair highlighted forestry issues on the program, especially on the program's Friday journalists' roundup. Freelance producer Theresa Kennett produced several of the segments, and videographer Bill Edmunds of North Conway made significant contributions to NH Outlook's coverage of the issues. Producer Richard Ager covered forestry news from the State House.
